eptember has always seemed like a transitional month to me. I'm still wearing sandals but today I needed a sweater. I'm still wearing my summer nightgowns but now I need an extra blanket. I've switched from white wine to red ... because there's a nip in the air.S
easons change. Most recently I've transitioned to a new season and I thought I should bring you up to date. I had a door open recently ... a new opportunity knocked and I knew it was from the Lord because for years now I've prayed for "something" that would meet my needs financially as well as creatively. M
y friend Darcy happened to be in a newly opened consignment furniture/home decor store and the owner confided that she desperately needed help. Darcy said I immediately came to her mind and she told the owner that she knew just the right person. A couple of days later and I was Pfohl's Furniture Den's
newest employee. I
'm privileged to work with "previously loved decor
" as well as mange the store's social media needs. It's the perfect blending of all that I love. And isn't that just like God? He's delivered into my hands a new job that's fun, creative, interesting, educational, stimulating, physically challenging, profitable, and convenient. The shop is seven minutes from my home and the earliest I have to be to work is 9:30 a.m. I'm so not a morning person! All I can say is "God is soooo good!"I
tell you all this because there may be some of you who are tiring of praying and seeking and pleading and murmuring about a need in your life. That was me. I confess I've been searching for my own "significance," if you will, for many years. And not to say this is the be-all-end-all, but it's a big step for me and one that I know is for a purpose. God's purpose. To get me back in the saddle, back into the land of the living, back on track. It's easy to get side tracked. The death of my husband and a few other circumstances have wreaked havoc on my life. It was far too easy to retreat from life rather than embrace it. But seasons come and seasons go. I'm embarking on a new season and it feels so good! S
o I just want to encourage those of you who are befuddled by life's twists and turns to rest in the One who goes before us and to trust Him to lead. Even when it takes way longer than we think it should or even when the path seems to make no sense or even when we're pushed outside our comfort zone, He knows what He's doing! Patience is a virtue, they say. Hang in there and keep on praying! When the blessing comes, it's always way better than anything we could ever hope for or imagine. I promise! T
he leisurely pace of life I'd grown accustomed to is quickly changing, much like the leaves on the trees that line the creek bank. I'll do my best to keep up but know that I appreciate each and every one of you that read my rambling thoughts. I miss you all and will try hard to juggle an almost full-time job, my Etsy shops, blogging, and "Life" at the cottage-by-the-creek. I don't know how some of you do it!! I'm exhausted already. Love you ... Oh, and I'm posting a lot on Pfohl's
Facebook page so pop over and "like" us, if you're so inclined. We'd appreciate the exposure and support.
I'd love it if you'd follow me via Linky Followers!
I promise to follow right back!
